  2. Hi Photobeat,

I haven't been yet, but will be going on Sept 18. From all of the research I've done, here is a list of things I'll be taking.

-7mm full suit w/ attached hood

    -4/3mm full suit

    -Extra hood

    -boots and gloves

    -2 masks

    -Shorts and shirts/tank tops

    -Sweat pants and top

    -Wind breaker and waterproof shell

    -Flip flops

-2 Hard cases for UW and surface photo gear

-Dive bag for suits, clothes, ect.....

-Spare O rings and grease for everything

-2 Sets of batteries for everything

-Mini tool kit to fit every possible type of screw/bolt my system has

    -Laptop

-External HD (haven't bought yet, but looking at that new rugged Lacie)

    -DVD-R

    -2 4gig cards and a 8gig card

-External memory card reader and USB cable for camera just in case

-Books/magazines to read at night if bored

I think that about covers it for me. I'm sure I am forgetting a couple of small things. Hope this helps.

  3. Told you I'd forget something.

Cash for the gratuities at the end of the trip. This is a big one for me since I rarely carry cash.

  4. -Was happy to have drysuit & gloves due to some 4hrs stints in the cage.

-Clothing depends on weather and how cold you get sitting in 65degree water for an hour or more.

-Take a laptop, you won't take 2000 pics so depends on your storage

-If you are on the Horizon and have a "room" there is plenty of space under the bunk. Other areas may have no room for a Pelican 1620 type case.

-Was happy to have Scopolamine patches for trip out

-If you are on a full boat and only getting your 1hr rotations bring lots of entertainment.

Here is a link to my site that has a Gaudalupe trip report, gallery and slide show.
