I am finally about to take the plunge and purchase an underwater housing for my Canon EOS1D MkII.
I've done quite a bit of research on the net and it seems to have boiled down to a toss-up between two contenders: the "Subal CD1D" and the "Seacam Silver Cano EOS D1S MarkII".
As far as I can tell there is not much difference in price (just a couple of hundred USD), but which housing is better, more reliable and importantly which system that I will be buying into works better?
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated...
cheers

They are both top-notch rigs. For me the decision maker would be which I could get service / parts for the easiest (and quickest).

Hi Alexy, and welcome to Wetpixel!
That's a very valid point Dave. Right now my Subal is back in Austria for some minor repairs, I don't know if it would be different with a Seacam.
