Light & Motion wet connectors

  1. I used to get a lot of trouble with the wet connectors on my Light & Motion Sunray lights and in the end I had them changed to hardwired ("Classic"). I wished that they'd used EO connetors instead of Subconn. The LMI Subconn ones worked intermittently or not at all for me on many occasions despite cleaning etc..

How have others got on with LMI's wet connectors?

  2. Nick,

I have had no problem with mine , in fact still am using my original set of LMI HID lights , pods and cables.

  3. The L&M Subconn "wet connectors" work extremely well if you keep the pins and receptacles lightly coated with silicone o-ring grease, which is a dielectric grease that improves conductivity and prevents corrosion. A little bit of maintenance will make you a much happier videographer.

  4. Thanks for the reminder. Just got back from the Philippines and forgot to regrease the L & M pod o rings.-Steve B)
