Booking a trip with WORLD OF DIVING

I have priced a trip to Sulawesi in August with several companies. The best set of price, acomodations , etc.. is with a company called World or Diving.

Anyone booked with them before?

Are they reliable?

They are charging $2.640 for 7 nights in Lembeh Resort, 6 days of 3 tanks, meals and airfare from Los Angeles.

So far a decent price, but the company is unknown to me.

I would apppreciate any help.

i don't use tour operators so can't comment on them, just one thing though:

Lembeh Resort - NITROX Dive Packages

All inclusive - full board accommodations with breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner; unlimited tea, coffee, water; guided day boat dives NITROX for ALL dives; unlimited self guided house reef; round trip airport transfers, fuel surcharges, all taxes and resort service charge.

Not included - alcohol and soft drinks, massage and dive center gratuities.

7 nights / 17 dives 1,365USD dbl occupancey

from the price list on the lembeh resort site it looks like they are charging you over 1,300USD for the airfare, probably more because they probably don't pay list price for the accomodation at LR.

if that sounds reasonable to you then why not, but i would consider looking into arranging it yourself.

The pricing isn't bad. $1300 for R/T air aint bad and the resort price is good. I booked with KBR's agent here in California and then booked my own air. However, it's convenient to let an agent assist you. I haven't heard of your particular agent but I always get suspicious when their prices are lower than other agents. What I don't know is how do travel agencies make their money. Do they upcharge you and pocket a booking fee? Do they get paid by the resort? They certainly cannot accept free or discounted trips as payment. So someone has to pay them.
