I have a Canon S900 and a calibration set up. Fortunately, I print what I see !!
I have been using Canon Glossy for macro prints.
I also print landscapes on Ilford Smooth Pearl and like the appearance.
So the question is: what other Ilfors papers should I consider for U/W printing that will provide 1) high contrast pop and 2) subtle W/A tints with shadow detail??
Thanks
Just last night I compared Illford Gallerie smooth gloss to the epson premium glossy paper. I though I pulled them from the same box, could not tell the difference using the epson profile on both. Many pros like the pearl paper you mentioned. I just picked up a R2400. The Epson Luster is the rave of reviews on most sites for my printer, waiting for some to come in. I am also getting some samples from: freephotopaper.com
I like ALL of the Ilford papers, and use them almost exclusivly.
I would see if you can get a "samle pack" from Ilford and play with the various papers till you find the "look" you want.
