  1. Well, I thought Brothers Islands were a very nice place to see different kinds of sharks, specially oceanic white tip (which I have never seen), but we had no luck... We only got to see this one, a hammerhead at around 60m deep (I was using nitrox so I didn´t even think of it) and two grey reef sharks far away in the blue for a couple of seconds...........yes, I have to go back to Galapagos....Anyway I will come back to the southern Red Sea someyear during october-november for shark season...

10.5mm: being my first trip with a DSLR it felt strange to be looking through the viewfinder and see the animal no filling the frame and then looking above the camera to find out that I could have actually touched it...

Sigma 15-30mm this was a better suited lens:

  2. Love the last one… it’s most excellent.

    Keep up the good work!

  3. good shots, beautiful shark

  4. Lovely shots. I was at Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone a few weeks ago and like you, we didn't get much in the way of close shark encounters. In fact the best one was a couple of silky that were quite agressive with us at the surface when we were snorkelling. Didn't have my still camera on me, but got some nice video of them. i'm also hoping to go back some time soon & find some oceanics.....
