good job dave. i tried to get some of those in anilao... man do they move fast!!!! never got one in focus...

did you lock focus and wait till it came into focus or use auto?

He has the AF-S 105mm so I am sure he was using auto!

Great work. These guys can be bloody tricky. I saw some on Mabul while I was there.

Yes, I used AF. I get a rough focus for the subject distance then flip down the macromate and fine tune the focus through the macromate lens. This works well with the AF-S 105. You can do it with the 60 but it is harder. Impossible with the old 105. With that lens you need manual focus or focus by moving the camera in and out.
