Some photos with diferent retush technics

I have test today to retush in a diferent way some photos from this morning

Just like to know what you are thinking???

#3 is my favourite, #1 is too hard on my eyes, maybe my monitor is too bright. Very nice images overall.

I also think the technique comes across very strongly in #2 - I like it. To use a cliche: edgy!

#1, the chest is too high key for my taste.

Its true James.. this technic is best for portraits and photos with much detail as photo 2 that is my favorit

Strange think. I have shoot a serie off photos from this swimmer that plan to swin the Amazonas RIVER!!!!! and he whant some photos for the sponsors as Speedo etc.. Now the strange think is that Speedo love the photo 2 (that its look really great in high resolution)

I was newer thinking that this kind off extrem retush will be a commerical product- Maybe becuace as James say they are Edgy and the swimmer is to.. Strange world

#2 is kinda cool...

i assume by retush you mean different raw conversion and or photoshop actions?

maybe you can explain the different approaches too?

I feel that image II is a bit too sharp (ened). There is a halo (or is it a shadow?) on the right side of the face. it also feels a bit plasticky. But if the sponsor likes it, who am i to object....

3 is the strongest image. I think it could look great de-saturated further to a black and white. I am not surprised Speedo like 2 - most companies can see far past their logos when judging images!

So you have the same suit.. lucky guy.. this is a hell off a suit.. really one off the bests

Mine isn't a swimming suit though - mine is a thicker one to keep me warm while I float about taking pix!

I like the black and white - although I find it a bot contrasty. They to bring out a bit more detail in the dark greys.
