Olympus 11-22mm lens

4 posts
  1. Is anyone using this lens on an e-systems body. I am currently using the 14-54 mm zoom, and thinking about buying the slightly wider lens. But is it worth $600 to go from 28mm to 22 mm equivalent?

    Comments appreciated.

  2. I have owned this lens since its release and also own the more expensive 7 to 14 mm zom. The 14 to 54 & 11 to 22 lenses are my first choice as travel photography lenses. I also use the 11 to 22 mm almost as much underwater as the 7 to 14 mm. I use both lenses with the Olympus/Athena dome port and extension ring in the E-300 & E-330 camera housings from Olympus. The diffrence between 75 degrees and 89 degrees is large in terms of U/W photography.

  3. TNX for the input. Just ordered one.

Can you tell me what the FULLY-EXTENDED length of the 11-22mm lens is, so I can order the correct port.

    TNX!

  4. Its full length according to Olympus is 3.7 inches or 92.5 mm. Fully-extended 9 mm is added to the length, making the overall length about 4.1 inches. This appears to be correct when I went from the mount to the end of the lens. Enjoy the new tool.
