yeah -that's right, just like the famous Danish writer (have I ever heard that one before). No relationship whatsoever, I got my name from my grandfather. ;)

  2. howdy Hans,

glad to have you here. Just be forewarned, us video guys here on WP are a strange lot... ;)

  3. Bugger !!!

I was trying to think of a witty line :)

  6. Welcome Hans,

Sure you will find as you go that the guys here tend to be pretty cool with most things. Just don't mention anything women oriented to Mike, poor chap's been stranded on an island in the Pacific for a year with very little potential for female company. Last I heard he was carrying 'round a coconut he'd dressed up in a makeshift bikini and was using that as his underwater model.

Dean's the smart one, always offering wafts of sh....... ooops shafts of whit to entertain the sane ;) ones amongst us.

Wagsy,s "The Man", ask him anything regarding the tech side of stuff and as long as you have a degree in heiroglyphics you'll be able to decipher his response ...... hehehe no offense Paul.

Wanna great vacation? Ask Steve. He gets groups of people together for world travel expeditions and may need a baggage handler for his mountain of video gear.

Eric and Dru are always there offering great advice and pointers to everyone here.

And me, well I just bimble along trying to make sense out of the world as I see it. Sure these guys also have their opinions of me but thats for them to say.

Sure you'll have agreat time here. Looking forward to your visits and postings.

    Welcome

    Mark.

  7. Hello Hans!

    Welcome to the Wetpixel forums.

It's great to see your post here, and I'm looking forward to seeing many many more to come!

[**For folks who haven't yet seen it, Hans has an absolutely wonderful video up as DiveFilm Podcast Video Episode 14, "Diving Scandinavia." It's a great film that is also narrated by Hans, and really gives a good sense of what it's like to dive where he lives in Denmark. Gave me a true appreciation for the long connection of the people of Scandinavia with the sea. I have a much better understanding now of why there is such good underwater video coming out of that part of the world. Definitely check it out!]

Allow me, "the Brave Tin Soldier" of wetpixel welcome you to "the Happy Family". We hope you enjoy "the Garden of Paradise" and even shoot "the little mermaid". There are a few "Snow Queens" here but certainly no "Ugly Ducklings" (well except maybe NickJ, international extra)

  9. Gday Hans and welcome as well.

I just watched and enjoyed your podcast that Mary put up for you, although abit cold for me....what time of the year is best for 3mm diving ;)

  10. Wow - what a welcome !

Thanks all, for your very kind words, it looks like it's a fun place to be.

You will definately be hearing more from me in the future.

At the moment, I am filming with the Sony PD-170, in an amphibico housing, but I am planning to make the switch to HD soon (read anything from 1-12 month).

In that process, i might need some advice, and i hope that i might get it from you.

In the meantime, there is a lot of tips and tricks here at the board allready, so i thing that i will start browsing old post first.

    Thanks again folks :-)
