Auto WB & URPRO Filter & COCOs

4 posts
  1. Ok so have Canon Elura 90 in a Ikelite housing which means no manual WB. Going to Cocos and have a couple of questions.

    1. With no Manual WB is Auto the best option?

    2. Is the UR Pro filter pratical for use in Cocos?

    All input is welcome, thanks...

  2. a lot of the stuff in cocos is kinda dark and not very colourful. therefore, i don't think the filter will be that necessary. it is mostly shooting out into the blue (green) water. You might lose too much in the way of exposure if you use the filter. I would suggest not using it for deeper dives like alcyone. you might want to use it for the shallower dives though.

You might try auto WB or else cloudy. experiment between the two

  3. The only real shallow dives in the Cocos is the backside of Manueleta where they do the night and initial checkout dives, and Silverado. I think both places might be a bit too shallow however for the ur filter.

  4. Thanks, thats what I figured. I will play with the cloudy setting.
