Shots from Red Sea

  1. Hi,

I went to the Southern Egyptian Red Sea last December, and I have finally find the time to post some pix on the web. All pix were shot using an Aquatica A995 housing with Coolpix 995 (obviously) and a single Sea&Sea YS-90DX strobe.

It was a great trip - we visited many "legendary" dive sites such as Fury Shoal and St. John's Reef. Apart from a few dives at home, it was the first time I really used my setup in anger!

I used Photoshop 7 minimally on the photos, mostly adjusting levels and sharpening, and in some cases using the Auto Colour feature, which I found really good (and quick!). Occasionally I also cropped the photo.

Would appreciate any comments (even negative ones :) )

  2. Hi Woody,

You have quickly mastered the camera, and tamed it to an amphibious lifestyle. Your pictures as a result tell the full story of your trip and the beauty and diversity of Egypts southern extremities - Good Job!

  3. Very nice display, some wonderful colors!

  4. Nice shots Woody. Especially the glassy sweepers, good exposure and composition. I also like the sting ray shot.

  5. Thanks chaps, you're so kind. Next to some of the stuff I've seen on this forum and elsewhere, I still have tons to learn though!

  6. Nice shots Woody. Sothern Red Sea is one of my fave spots. I am looking forward to the next trip. When will that be Bob????

Particularly like the barracuda and clown fish shots.

    Keep em coming

    Mark

  7. Yes, That looks like a good trip too Bob when would that be? Hell, my son can pay for his own education...I'm diving.
