Niteride videolights recommandeble?

  1. Hi,

I have a Sony Vx2000 in L&M housing and am looking for new videolights.

can anyone recommand the Niteride HID 20 Videolights?

    Rob

  2. I've got a Niterider HID on my mountain bike for those beautiful summer night rides through the Santa Monica Mountains, but no idea about under water. Sorry.

  3. I've got a PD-150 with an Amphibico housing. I shoot with the NiteRider Pro20's and L&M SunRay-S Pro's.

Both are HID so the colors match.

The Pro20's battery lasts more that twice as long but they're not as bright - 10W vs 21W per head.

I've built a bracket (or tray) that allows me to attach all 4 light heads and all 3 batteries (along with [tripod] legs) to the housing. I normally mount the Pro20's below the housing and the SunRay's above for more consistent light. I run the Pro20's for the entire dive and turn on the SunRay's when I'm shooting.

I like them both but they each have their purpose.
