I really need a focus light for my gear. I use a C-5050 in Oly PT-015 case and recently I bought a Z-240. Before that I used a D-180. Both the strobes have a focus light but with the z-240, the light should be covered with a red plastic thing and so the light produced is not enought to let you see something thorugh the LCD in night dives. I use a arm and tray system (http://www.uwdigitalcamera.com/En/pr...667965544 152) so my questions are:
-which focus light would you suggest?
-how would you attach it to this kind of setup?
Thanks to all of you guys
Hi,
I think it is really hard to attach another target light to your current setup unless you add another handle to the tray. Did you try to remove red plastic from your diffuser ?
Sam
No, since the red plastic cover is necessary for s-TTL functioning.
You can tape the light to your strobe (focus light 101) or if you want to spend more money several light holders are made that velcro to the strobe.

I just purchased a Sea&Sea hotshoe mount designed to hold a Sea&Sea strobe. I plan on mounting my Fantasea 44 LED light on top of the housing.
I just bought a LED 44. It looks nice and it doesn't have a hot spot. I will tell you soon how it works.
Thank you all
I use the Fantasea 44 LED light as a focus light/primary dive light, and I like it a lot. Mine did explode on me in Bali, but it ran like a kid after an ice cream truck before it blew apart. The explosion was all user error since I didn't tighten down the lens face after changing batteries the night before. Water got in, the off-gassing batteries pressurized the light, and when I came back up to 10 feet - BOOM.
I missed my light after that. So I've gone ahead and bought two more of the lights so I have a backup when I blow up the next one. <_<
