Here are a couple of shark shots from last weekend. This is a little funny, but I ended up shooting a 50mm macro on most of the dives to try to get a head shot. ![]()

wow, really like #2 will
Sweet!
Agree with Mike on #2. Have you tried PS to get rid of the line?
Great stuff Will!
I agree with previous posters - 2 is fantastic.
I wouldn't PS the line tho...
WOW Cool shots there.
I take it you were outside the cage when you took them ![]()
Wagsy,
Was I out of the cage? Well, not the first day.
I wimped out the first day and kept my appendages inside the cage. After I saw other people's pictures the first night, I concluded my pictures sucked because I wasn't getting close enough (we all need some excuses sometimes). The next day I did what everyone else did which was to at least get the camera clearly outside of the cage for better maneuverbility.
There was a submersible cage, but during my turn, there were no sharks around. See attachment (I blew the shot, but it does show the potential for the experience).
btw - I finished the gallery:

Awesome, can't wait.
I leave for Guadalupe on Sept. 18th. How was the visibility and water temp.? How many different sharks were you able to identify? Did you see anything else cool while on your trip?
I know, I Know. Alot of questions. I'm just really stoked now that the season is here and my trip is finally around the corner.

Hey Will,
Sorry I missed you on the Oil Rig dive last Wednesday. I was scheduled but had to cancel last minute due to a sick baby. I did make it to dinner with Margaret, Jack and the rest after you guys got back though.
I'm scheduled to go to Guadalupe Oct. 16-20th and am even more excited after seeing your pictures. Great shots!!! I will be thrilled if I come back with half as much.
Did you use a strobe at all or are they all ambient light? I was planning on using a 15mmFE, 18-35mm, and possibly 12-24DX. Sounds like the 60mm might also be in order for head shots? Would love your recommendations - again Great Shots!
The mackerel (?) shots are also very cool.
John
