Super price on a great card...

I ordered a RiTEK 8GB for $145 from Newegg a few days ago. It is supposed to show up today. I am quite excited.

Why does this sound too cheap to be true??

Wow...that looks like a great deal. Do you know if its a high speed CF card?
-
According to Rob Galbraith, in terms of speed are just shy of sandisk extreme and slightly better than Lexar Pro.

Ohh and my 8Gig RiTEC card I ordered from NewEgg did show up today. So far it's working like a charm.

Check out the customer feedback:
"Very poor quality control. As a professional photojournalist, I expect a pro card to stand the amount of photos I shoot. One card died after 12 weeks of heavy shooting and the other is starting to get corrupt. Not worth the hassle if you depend on your images."
"Died after 6 weeks of use 6/19 - 8/7. Tech support is in Taiwan and English is poor, broken and hard to understand."
"Failed after just one use."

It never occurred to me that my card might fail. It appears that all the newer cards with the newer cameras are fast enough to handle just about anything you can throw at it. I have a D200 with Lexar 4GB 133 and seems to be able to shoot as fast as I like.
It seems then that reliability should be the most important criterion when buying a card these days.
Is there any objective data out there on reliability, such as shots till failure or something?
