NIKON D80 HOUSING

HI ALL,

We all know that the D80 has landed, but the question is

has anyone tried to see how compatible the present

housings are?? Who are going to be the first housing

manufacturer to supply a new housing??

At least in the US, I don't think the camera is available yet. B&H website says "approximate arrival September."

I just bought one for my brother this morning. Obviously, I didn't get to try it underwater <_< , but I did give it a relatively thorough check on land.

It looks and feels pretty good, if only a tad too small to my taste. It's pretty responsive and write times are excellent with a Lexar Pro x133 SD card. I found the metering system to be pretty accurate and the and auto-focus is fast. The LCD screen is also very large and clear.

All in all, I'd say it's a great camera for the price...
