Sao Tome, West Africa

  1. Hi all,

These are the pictures from my January trip to Sao Tome (Gulf of Guinea, West Africa). It took me such a long time to put them up because only now I got permission from our funding agency to publish. Yes, I had to sign a document saying that they had priority in publishing.

So, here they are, I will post more later, but in the mean time comments/suggetions are welcome!

  2. Great photos Luiz !!!

I really love the close up of the moray eel

    Thanks for sharing

  3. Magnificent; my favorites are the hermit crab and the moray - boy if you only had a cm or two more depth of field on the front end of that moray.

  4. Nice shots Luiz. Interesting Angle fish. I don't think I've ever seen one of those.

  6. Great shots Luiz - I've been waiting for these! Maybe I need to get over there from Bioko and check it out.

    Cheers

  7. Thanks all,

James, you should go there if you have the chance, very nice diving in some places.

Yes, I agree about the DOF in the moray, but I had like f22 and when I closed it down to 32 it decided not to cooperate anymore... Also, that was taken with the 60 macro, so I was almost touching it with the port!

Herb, the Angelfish is very common, but it is only there and in Cape Verde, not many photos of it around. Here is the juvenile:
