  1. Pygmy seahorses seem to be more common at Wakatobi than most other places.

  2. Nice collection, Herbko!

I think 1, 2 and 4 may not be completely in focus.

  3. Great photos of the pigmy sea horses you have there! There are probably 3 different species, the 1st & 3rd are more than likely the same species, they just different bumps on the body, i could be wrong though?

Wait till you get up to Irian Jaya, or should I be more specific and say southern Irian Jaya. Pigmies are all over the place, I've seen H. bargibanti as shallow as 3m!

  4. We did see 4 different species, denise, bargibanti, colemani and the brown one (name escapes me, if it has one) at Wakatobi. Julie and I found a fan with 17 denise pygmies at Wakatobi. Never seen so many on 1 fan.

About the 1st and 3rd. Im really starting to wonder if they are actually the same. In the Solomons we also saw these 2 different color variations and they were always on different fans. So, do they have different colors because they are on different fans, or are they on different fans (and different color) because they are a different species? Some of the ones we saw actually looked like some intermediate version of a bargibanti.
