Yesterday I shot this image. I am sort of polling the community to see if you know what you are looking at in this image. What constitutes the negative space? And what is the main foreground subject? My wife thinks the image is ehh...it's okay. What is it, she asks?
Personally, I love the image because I know what it is.
What constitutes the negative space? And what is the main foreground subject?
anemone covered scallops on one of the oil rigs, CFWA looking towards the surface an a day with GREAT vis. Yeah SoCal has "blue" water sometimes!
3/4 correct, Rich.
They look more like mussels.
Larry is right, they are very large 6-8 inch mussels.
lol that was my first thought, but they seemed a bit too large. Must be near a vent!
So where/with whom did you dive the rigs yesterday?
LAUPS. I was with Kelly Bracken, Andy Sallmon, Randy Harwood, Dave Nesheim and a few other LAUPS members. They chartered the Sundiver for a club competition. Should have joined us, it was a lot of fun.
Wondered if it was the shootout!
Worked part of the day, and I am in Phoenix now... bit hard to run over for a quick day dive.
It does however appear that Rocky Point (on the Sea of Cortez) is closer than LA. I am going to have to check that out very soon.
