PT010 Filters for protection

Has anyone tried mounting a filter directly to the housing in order to protect the lens?

Will a 67mm filter fit and provide the protection?

I'm just thinking in public really - I'd remove the filter and fit any lens prior to diving but protection for transit, etc.

No, but I did buy a generic 67mm snap in lens cap for about $5.00 at the local camera store. Works great. I take it off after I'm in the water and if it falls out of my BC pocket, I'm only out $5.00 . . .

Thanks - will look into purchasing a cap or screwthread to protect. Anybody know of good UK suppliers?
