Dome 8" AND 2.8/24mm ??

Hi,

i'm using a 2.8/24mm CANON with an Ikelite dome 8" !

But my problem is, i've got some vignetting effect in the corners.

So what can i do ?

Maybe i need a specific extended Dome but which one ?

Hi,

If you're seeing the black corners of the port, then the port extension is too long. You should order a shorter "stalk" for your port from your Ikelite dealer.

in fact my problem is not about black corner, but optical distorsion in corner !!

May be i'll try to show you a picture to understand better what is the problem.

OK, well that's not vignetting then. Vignetting is when the corners get darker.

The problem you describe is still usually due to using the wrong port extension though - something to look into.
