  1. To All

This is just a big thankyou to all of you who contributed submissions to this years 7th annual film festival. Both Friday and Saturday were practically sold out and the quality of the films, all of them, just keep on getting better. This year 12 of the 30 films shown over the two nights on the big screen were in HDV. My bet is that next year it will jump up to two thirds. Without the support of the film community of divers we would never be able to showcase your films on such a large film with absolute state of the art projection. It is amazing to see your work in such a way since most of us only get to see our films on our puny little 60" plasmas and rear projections or from some crappy projector suitable for powerpoint presentations at a dive club meeting somewhere.

Now I have to start on an idea for next years show.

    Thanks All,

    Steve B)

  2. Steve, well done....one day we will get something cut up, just to busy doing other things.

Have you any pics of the setup inside.

  3. Hey Steve - I'm so glad Jen and I got to make it this year but am bummed we didn't have a chance to meet with you. Recognized you in the mix but somehow missed introducing myself to you. Also wish we could have made the second night - the lineup looked great - really wanted to see your film(Mary Lynn told us about it) and the humpback film from Eric Hanauer.

But, thanks to you guys again for doing what you do - it was a great time!

    Aloha

    Bryce

  4. Hey Bryce, very sorry we didn't meet as well. Most of the film makers and committee met after the show at a local diner/deli on Sat. night and it was great swapping stories and BS.

Wags, I know you'll find time for next years show, what amazes me is how the quality of films has skyrocketed since the shows inception. Not one film that I saw, picked by the judges or not, failed the gag test.
