  1. Dear Wetpixel members,

I wrote quit an extensive review about my rig for digideep. Probably some of you might be interested in it so click here if you want to read it.

    cheers, Udo

  2. Very nice reply! I had read it a moment ago but the comment I wrote has to pass approval to be shown.

  3. Hi Udo

Did you use the 17cm dome on the 10-20mm, and if so which extension ring?

Next for the 105VR, which combi of dome port/ext ring and :) gearring did you use?

The 105 has a rather large diameter to fit.

The 10-20 is supposed to go straight into the 17.5 cm FE dome port - no extensions or diopters needed.

Yes, i use the 10-20 in a 17 cm FE dome without extensionrings. It's sharp from corner to corner.

Next for the 105VR, which combi of dome port/ext ring and excl.gif gearring did you use?

I use the 105 VR in the regular flatport that i also use for my 50 mm Sigma with a 25 mm extensionring (same as for 60 mm macro). A 20 mm extension would also be OK i suppose, but i want to use it combined with a 5T or 6T close-up lens en then 25 mm is just enough. If you want to be able to combine the 105VR +5T +6T i think you'd need a 35 mm extensionring

    .

The 105 VR just fits this port +extensionring and i they also developed recently a focusgear for it. The gave me their prototype which is a two piece focusgear that works fine once everything is placed right in the housing. But to put the camera+ 105VR + focusgear in the housing you'll have to change the order of assembling. You'll have the place the port last. If you want i can make some pictures of this two piece focusgear, so you can see how close everything fits.

    cheers, Udo
