  1. hi all,

i'm going to cuba next month, for two months or more, and am having difficulty in

contacting dive centres, if anyone can give me any pointers i'd appreciate it.

i'm needing to go to maria la gorda, isla de la juventud and any other recomendable

    sites.

email addresses that work most welcome.

    thanks in advance,

    mark

Best dive in Cuba ( by far ) is Jardines de La Reina . Maria la Gorda was in bad shape some years ago when i was there , after that they got direct hits by 2 hurricanes in the last years so if i was you i look for another option.

The only problem with Jardines de la Reina is that reefs are quite deep and they don't have nitrox , so you can only dive 3 times per day ( no much by liveaboard standards ) . The operation there is run by Avalon , their web page does't have much info . but you can start from there.

2 months!! you better start your spanish classes.

Good luck and let me know if you need more info . I have been in Cuba 4 times.
