Well I thought I would share with you a cool way of fixing up certain shots.
Was editing in 1440/1080 mode.
I use the Chrominace Filter in EDIUS and applied CC to the top half of the picture to blue it up. Then I applied another CC inside the Chrominace filter to the forground to take some of the red out.
As shot with the FX1
After.... We blued up the water then we took some of the red out from the foreground. Cool hey.....
Hehehe you're like a kid in the candy factory with that Edius. Chroma selection allows you to choose which "color" you want to color correct and leave out others. It's ok some scenes but be careful not to go overboard as that "color" range could be shared by something in some obscure place and you don't see it in the editing suite but it becomes glaringly obvious on a projection screen. Which screen are you getting anyways?
Wags,
Very cool filter. How are you slecting only the region when it is a complex shape and changing as the camera or subject moves. My assumption is that you are just selecting the color band (just like limit effect control in the FCP 3 Way color corrector).
Shawn
Drew you ceratinly are a man of much knowledge and are spot on.
Working on a Ningaloo DVD so that's why we played with it. As we go and apply things like this we render out m2t files and watch then on different computers/screens to see how it looks. Also it get feed out to our TV to check.
Shawn you can pick the area that you want to play with. Also you can use a region filter that lets you change the colour of a fish as it swims around. You can feather the edges but it really needs to be shape adjustable...Maybe next version....
Chrominace
Region Filter
No decision yet on projector.
Wagsy, Definitely a useful filter. I see that you have squared out the whale shark. Wouldn't applying a multipointed garbage matte, one with bezels, made it more specific to the image you were trying to either adjust or exclude from the changes?
