I guess it's not the first time .. but it's like good news and bad news all at the same time ..

the Hudson river is clean enough to have marine life in (apparently .. or the marine life got more resiliant !)

however the worms (ship worms of types) are eating the piers and docks or anything thats wooden in the river .. and it's gonna cost millions to repair and treat the wood so it doesn't happen !

I'd like to see a picture of these little mollusc type creatures (so they say) to see what can do that sort of devastation ... a million dollar worm! i guess it's like a marine termite !

Or it could be some mutation caused by the toxic waste in the river. They may have be once peaceful earthworms just munching away in their cans.
