A taste of Palau

Just got back from a really nice trip to Palau. I had to do a lot of research, so not much time left for photography, but I did manage do get some keepers. Here is two I like:

Thanks all, I was collecting fish there. I work on population genetics, basically, we try to figure out to what extent fishes migrate between islands and archipelagos in the Pacific. We do that comparing DNA sequences from fish at several locations, and our results ultimately help better manage the resources and allows for more effective design of marine reserves.

I will post some more photos next.

I should add that I only have those shots to show because of the excellent support from Ryan. My Subal housing is back in Austria for service, and they couldn't send it back in time for my trip so Ryan sent me his rental ND2 to take it to Palau, great service, thanks Ryan!

Or to put it another way, Luiz's job is to travel around the Pacific and spear fish. It's a rough life but some one has to do it!
