Was wondering if anyone knows if the housings avail for the sb-800 fit the 600 and can the sensors be seen if the the 800 is a commander. Top side I have played with this and it is awesome how well it works.

Hi
Sealux and I believe FantaSea make housings for the Nikon flash.
Commander mode will not work underwater. Colin Gans has done some work trying to
sync two Nikon SB800's underwater. IF you search the threads for his name something should come up.
Good Luck,
Jett

I'm not aware of anyone producing an off-the-shelf housing for the SB-600. While these may roughly fit in the Sealux and Fantasea housings (the two which I've tried) the controls are inaccessible.
The SB-800 speedlights require a fibre optic linc to communicate in master/remote mode underwater. Have a look at this link for the test I did:

Cheers,

Yes, Fantasea has a housing that includes a Nikonos TTL hardwire sync cord. To use two, you can either use our Y adapter or an optical link from one to the other. I think the Y is a better option.

I would be interested to know if the sync cord / Y adapter will allow for both speedlights to work in iTTL mode but I suspect not. My guess is that they would need to be configured in master/remote (commander) mode and I have yet to see a cabled solution to accomplish this. If it does work, please let me know and I'll order a Y adapter.

Colin;
Howard didn't know, he uses a fibre optic connector, go figure.

The dual socket connector is part #6189.
Let me know if you get any more info.
