I currently have a Nikonos V with dual Isotta/Isolux 33TTL stobes.
Has anyone had any experiencees with Isotta/Isolux products???
Can anyone tell me whether these stobes will be compatible with a Nikon Coolpix 5000 or for that matter any other Digital camera.
I have been given permission from the wife to upgrade, however I'm not allowed to buy new strobes.
Thanks,
bj
Let me start off by saying that I have not had any experience with these strobes. But if I had to guess I would say you will have problems using a dual sync cord if the strobes are more than two years old. The reason is that the TTL circuitry has changed since then and your Nikons has the older circuitry. If using as them with a single sync cord then you will be ok. If your strobes are newer than two years old , it's a crap shoot if the dual sync cord will work. It really depends on how up to date the company is with the latest Nikon cameras and housings. Just look at all the trouble I'm having with my Sea&Sea strobe using a dual sync cord, and they were supposedly the latest and greatest for "All" digital cameras. I don't think so.
Thanks for that Robert.
I bought my strobes new, about five years ago.
Oh well there goes digital.

Hey that doesn't mean you can't use just one as a single strobe. I've seen a lot of great work done with just one strobe. And eventually you'll convince your wife to let you get new strobes, right?
