  1. Well at least most of the best - I've got to hold back a few for contest entry etc.

I was on board the Naia for ten days in October. The trip was hosted by Stan Waterman and we had a wonderful time. Anyone who has been on the Naia can vouch for what a wonderful experience it is. Despite the fact that the wind was howling upwards of 35-40 knots for much of the trip we never missed a dive.

  2. The WA's with the feather stars are all beautiful...fantastic colors!

So, is Stan shooting/editing video with you guys or stills?

Fiji is all about color - it's just there in spades.

Stan was shooting video, although, he was feeling under-the-weather for most of the trip and only made a few dives. It really wasn't a seminar or anything, Stan presented video in the evening from some of his previous films and was a very interesting person to be around.

  4. great shots Larry, i just love the colours

for those of you who haven't been on a trip with Stan its quite a blast. he has such a friendly outgoing personality and his stories around the salon after dinner are fantastic. He shows bits and pieces of some old and some new stuff and he never tires of speaking with everyone on the trips.

He has always been a video guy rather than stills...

I would suggest getting on a trip with him soon, you won't regret it.

  5. Wow is all I can say Larry. Each time I thought I'd seen the best shot in the gallery - up would pop yet another pearler! Awesome wide angle's - incredible colour. And really great macro too. Very impressive. Looks like you had quite a cooperative model in a lot of them too. Thanks very much for sharing. Made my day! :D

I agree with Mike - I was on the Bilikiki with Stan this last summer, and the stories he could tell and movies we would watch night after night were remarkable. A legend in the world of diving.

  7. Just went and looked at his schedule and none of future trips work well for us...

He sure sounds like a bloody legend tho. Will keep an eye out.

Thanks Anthony, the model is my wife Millie - pictured below. We've been married 25 years and diving together for 22. She just hangs out while I do my camera thing and knows how to model when I'm shooting WA. One of the more intelligent decisions I've made in my life - marrying her that is.

  9. Well done Milli! And Larry of course :D
