Olympus Tray Measurement for Olympus E-330 Housing

1 posts
  1. I am setting up an Olympus housing (PT-E02) for my E-330 and FL-36 flash. Initially, I have purchased all Olympus equipment but, rather than use the Olympus "short arm", I am planning to use an ultralight arm system for the flash housing.

At this stage I have no choice but to use the Olympus tray (PTBK-E01) with the housing as no other manufacturer makes one, yet. So I need to add the ultralight arm system to the Olympus tray.

But, for ULCS to be able to specify the right adapter for the tray, I need to know the width of the slot on the top left-hand side of the tray. I have attached a photo of the tray (from the B&H website). You can just see that, on the upper left end of the tray's handle, there is a slot. If I knew the width of this slot, ULCS could recommend the appropriate adapter.

Unfortunately my tray is in transit and wont arrive until the end of this month.

So, if any kind person out there in wetpixel land owns an Olympus PTBK-E01 tray or works in a shop where there is one in stock, I would be very grateful if you could take a width measurement of that slot. I need to know the width of the slot, accurately enough to know what width bolt would fit into it.

    Regards

    Peter
