Inon cord connectors

  1. I'm thinking of upgrading my dual Nikonos SB 105, one of the reasons is that I'm getting tired from the f@#$% sync cords connectors of the strobe.

The Inon 240 looks like a good choice, quit powerful, small, reliable and good review here and in other places.

One think that bother me, the connectors (S&S) looks very close to the old Nikonos connectors that I hate, I'll be happy to ear from users of this strobes how is this connector? Is it really the same or better?

  2. The electrical sync connector is a Sea&Sea 'S' type 5-pin plug. I wouldn't say they're any better or worse than the 'N' type, though I always worry about mis-threading the S-type plastic cap section. The o-ring in the connector is much larger than on the N-type which you may prefer. It makes it easier to check the plug o-ring and its mating surface in the socket.

    YMMV

  3. Thanks for the info.

With the 105 I'm always afraid to distort or even break the pins (as I already done once) I hope that with the S&S it’s different.
