Mozambique in FiNS Magazine

  1. I believe that FiNS has published my Mozambique article in their November issue. I haven't received a copy yet. Can someone confirm this?

  2. Andre,

I just picked it up tonight and it looks great! You have a nice manta and whale shark spread going there :) So, yes its confirmed in the Nov.Dec FiNS. I don't have a scanner so I can't post any of it up for you though. I particularly like the whaleshark over white sand - really unusual shot with the shark a little deeper and a sexy shadow on the seafloor.

Can I ask when (what time of year/month) you went?

    Congrats!

Ah that is great news. I just have to wait until my copies arrive.

I have visited Mozambique twice this year. I was there in februari and September. Both trips were great. Februari seemed a bit better for the whalesharks (we had over 10 in one dive).

  4. ya supposed to be great for mantas!

Congrats Andre, i look forward to reading it, mail from Singapore usually takes a few months to get here..

Justin, don't you own a digital camera!?!?!?! Take a picture of it! :)

I have visited Yap 2 years ago. Viz is better than in Mozambique. But the Manta's are so much bigger in Mozambique. Let's hope it stays that way. That's the main reason why I am really trying to give Mozambique as much exposure as possible.

  6. Oh yeah...camera = scanner :)

Here are a couple of really bad snapshots :D Really - I promise it looks better in the mag (there are also more pages, just 3 that I took pictures of).

Thanks for the info on when you went. It looks really worthwhile and hopefully I'll get a chance to slide on over and chack it out.

Thanks. I recognise my picturs, so it must be my article :) .

  8. Congratulations Andre.

Great stuff. I haven't seen the magazine yet, but I am sure that they will send you a copy. Post is quite slow from Singapore.

    Hi Alex,

You have seen the pictures in Antibes, so nothing new for you.

    Andre

Thanks. I am happy with the result. It is funny to see how different magazines in different countries make different articles based on the same material.
