I have two HDV housings but only one camera so one of the housings must go to make room for a new D200. I've decided to sell my Amphibico Phenom FX/Z1 housing. The housing is in excellent condition. I have had it for a little less than a year. The only problem I have ever had is that the original port had a flaw inside the sealed internal wide angle optic. Amphibico replaced the port about 7 months ago with a new one that solved the problem. Other than that the system has worked perfectly without a single glitch. I use a Sony Z1U in the housing but it is also compatible with the FX1. There is only minor wear and tear on the housing, it looks like new. I keep both the neoprene port cover and the viewfinder cover on whenever the housing is above water. I don't take the covers off until after I descend to make sure the port doesn't get scratched. I have shot both wide angle and macro with it extensively and it preform equally well with both. It's great to have an optical system that will let you shoot both Manta Rays and Nudibranchs on the same dive. I have the standard UR Pro color correction flip filter, an additional flip filter holder with the gradated ND filter and one with a +3 diopter (in addition to the screw in diopter that is part of the port system). You can have any two of these installed at once. The ND gradated filter is brand new and has never been in the housing. I also have the external video feed connector that is also brand new and has never been installed. Amphibico's custom Pelican case for the whole system is included. I also have a nice viewfinder accessory of my own design that functions like Amphibico's prism but is made of plexiglass and is much lighter.
The housing is currently with me in Micronesia where I work on a liveaboard, but I will be returning to the US around the 9th or 10th of December for the holidays and if I have a buyer for the system, I will bring it with me. I'm asking $5500 for everything and will ship it free (UPS ground or equivalent) anywhere in the US. If you need it faster than ground or want it shipped internationally, you just pay the additional shipping. I will accept PayPal if you wish to put it on a credit card, or money order, Cashiers Check, Bank transfer is OK. If you're interested, act quickly, because I'm not bring it back to the US with me if I don't have a buyer.
