Orange Crinoid taken in Dominica

Processed in CS2 a little

This has some nice colors, great blue background but lacks impact. The out of focus part is also distracting. A small colorfull fish in the front or I can imagine a fish face in the back, or even a diver in the back would really give it a better subject (wishfull thinking of course) and add the impact the image needs.

Thanks! I will try to remember to at least put a diver behind something like this next time. I like the out of focus parts, I think it gives a sense of depth and a little artistic flavor.

i think the contrast of orange and blue is great with a nice diaganol display of the arms

but yes, the left is a bit distracting with the out of focus bits.

i would try to shoot a little more up (faster shutter) to avoid the reef in the back ground and retain a strictly blue background.

And yes, try to avoid the crinoid comin at you and concentrate on a flatter part of the subject to retain max dof
