Combination INON Z240, 5 pin sync cord, and Oly Hotshoe Connector PHCB 01

  1. Dear fellow divers,

Does anyone has experience in using INON Z-240 connected directly to the Olympus Camera SP350??

I mean direct connection is that Z-240 connected to the Oly PT-030 housing bulkhead using 5 pin sync cord and then the other end of housing bulkhead connected to the Oly SP350 using Oly Hot-shoe Connector PHCB-01?

I am wondering if this combination will enable SP350 TTL system to control INON Z240 directly. Perhaps the simple question is that whether INON Z-240 TTL system is compatible with Oly SP350 TTL system, or NOT?

Any comment and input are greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Richard

  2. No, that will not offer TTL. They speak two different languages, you need something to translate.

You could modify the Olympus part w/ a Heinrichs Oly-TTL-C, which will work. You'll have to splice some wires, or we can do this for you. Alternatively one of the Heinrichs Nikonos bulkheads w/ a Nikonos cord would also work.

    Thanks for the information.

However, changing the original bulkhead with Heinrichs Nikonos bulkhead may increase the possibility of leakage and the worst is it will void the warranty.

Can you inform me where I can get the socket that fit to the original bulkhead and splice the Heinrich converter? How do I contact you?

    Any othe input from other??

    Thanks in advance
