  1. As some of youse may recall, I've been having problems with my Aquatica rig with the ETTL board installed. Finally, I removed the board and connected the hotshoe connector directly to the bulkhead - now I have working manual flash.

So, 4 months after ordering the rig, I finally got to take it out on a couple of dives. Since my other sync cable hasnt arrived yet, so I've been shooting with only one flash - which was good, as it let me experiment with strobe placement and lighting. Given that this was my first day of shooting with this rig, I am really happy with the results so far.

Some photo from the first 2 dives, all taken with the 20D, Sigma 10-20, Aquatica 8" dome port and an Inon Z240 on TLC arms:

  2. Very nice. The first image looks a little hot - slightly overexposd on the flash. I'm not familiar with the particulars of your system but it looks like you need to dial in a little exposure compensation. When I shoot wide-angle on TTL I usually dial in 1 to 2 stops -EV. Usually -1.7

  3. Nice images.

Looks like the corals there in good condition, very colorful.
