Inon vs Sea&Sea optical sTTL w preflash cams

  1. Any reason to think one is better than another, for compact digicams with preflash and optical trigger?

I just got a ys 110 to try with my sony v3, and it does not do TTL.

Are there any generalities that suggest an inon 2000 or z240 might do better?

    Thanks!

  3. Just in case there is future interest here, I wanted to say that I suspect there is fair reason to believe the Inon z240 and 2000 optical TTL is more capable than the sea & sea ys110.

See the chart at heinrichs, for the most preflash compatible strobes:

    http://www.heinrichsweikamp.net/blitz/indexe.htm

The ys 110 is LESS "maximum compatibility to all known cams" in that chart.

The older ys30 & ys60 appear to have been better.

The inon d2000w and z240 are great, as are a couple of subtronics..
