I keep photos in my office of underwater pics I take. I am thinking of blowing up a large print (16X20) or so of a sunset picture if I have any that are worthy. I am having a hard time deciding which one i like best. That is where I need help from real photographers. Any critique or opinions are appreciated. If none of them work, then by all means let me know and why they don't. I am a newbie and this was my first trip with a digital SLR anyway. By the way, these were taken in Maui last month.

my Faves are #3 and #7
although .. there seems to be a lack of colour bursting throughout the sky.
that was probably just the sunset themselves though.
a good sunset needs #1 the great sky to let the variations in colour spread thoughout it #2 a goodscenic location .. which i think you found.
I think you know the colours in the sky I am talking about .. I have attached two photos which while I used to love them as a sunset images I don't anymore. It shows off the colours and how they can change between a few different nights.
But I do like 3 and 7 the most from yours myself.
i like 3, the framing top and bottom adds a nice touch

Probably 4 the most as I like the asymmetrical framing of number 4 and I think that a horizontal format is probably better for the subject
I like the composition of #7, but appreciate the colors in the sky of # 1 & 2.
Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the subject suits itself to a landscape composition, but the colors seem to have come out better on some of my portrait shots. To me, #8 is the most interesting shot, but I don't think it would print well as it is a little noisy and the colors weren't quite there. Thanks again for the feedback. I look forward to more.
