2006 - A video year in review

  1. So another year has gone by but for the nostalgic and those who know how to use the search function (including (for those who noticed) Eric's new Google search engine on the right column), I thought I'd ask Wetpixel readers which thread topic they liked the most.

For me I put in a few here:

    Most Anticipated

Sony A1/HC1 thread: camera which turned out to be not so good. 20k reads

    Most Controversial:

Expodisc WB thread: does it or doesn't it?

    Most subtle ad campaign:

Anything by Wags for Canopus Edius  (Sorry I had to add that in)

Which is your favorite thread? Let's hear from you.

  2. Gonna have to go with the Expodisc thread. It turned out to not be a cure-all. Evidently there's no substitute for a gray slate. Or a pink fin. Or your own hand.

  3. EDIUS...I'm on FCP now

Actually writing up a review for Digital Media World right now.

I liked the Expodisc thread as well....never did get around to getting one.

  4. The camera that turned out to be NOT so good...

You just couldn't let it lie.. ;)

    Whats an expo disc...

    Dive safe

  5. my fave was getting the one in which a manual push button and for WB was announced for the Phenom... ooo my blues are soooo happy now

I'm just so happy that the vidiot`s ( pardon the expression ) have started to have such a united voice.

While we will never all agree on what is the best this, or the only way to that it - has certainly was a relief to learn that I was not the only person in the world having a vignetting issue or white balance problem.

  7. Ah, my Wetpixel's back ;) Someone in Taiwan must have finally patched those cables together.

Most important thread for me by far was the LMI Bluefin HD field results thread, which performed the miracle of persuading me to invest in another LMI housing. And so far so good. Thanks ShawnH and all those who dived in first.
