Blue top snail or???

Hi,

Well my turn to ask for help... here's a snail from Port Hardy. Looks kind of like a Blue Top Snail, but the shell doesn't look right. Any ideas out there?

Cheers,

Marli

Hey Marli,

From my copy of Andy Lamb's book, Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest, this appears to be a Tegula pulligo (dusky turban snail). Only a best guess.

Happy New Year!

Jett

Hi Jett,

Methinks you've got it. I missed it completely in the book. Cool, something new.

Cheers,

Marli
