Peter Rowlands, on page 34 of UwP34, writes, "The corals are so pristine and so big that you need a large object such as Alex Mustard in the background to get a sense of scale."
... which I think is really funny.
Peter has some great shots in the article (which is about a trip to FakFak aboard the Seahorse). He also used the words "my fleshy inner thigh" in the article.
This is a long running issue of Peter's to get back at me after I wrote the following caption in UWP 25 "Partly obscuring the subject behind a large object, in this case UWP editor Peter Rowlands, can help prevent overexposure."
I really enjoyed Peter's witty write up of our trip to the new FakFak region in the magazine. It really captured the essence of this very special adventure. It is an amazing place both above and below the waves. And we only scratched the surface of its photographic potential.
There are going to be some stunning images from this new hottest of hotspots during the coming year.

And it's not too late to join our Feb 6-21, 2007 trip to the same location:
Norbert and I will be on board. It's not our trip, but we'll be on the boat.
I believe there are a few spots left.
I actually had tears of laughter filling up my eye's reading it. Olivier, sad to say didn't quiet cut the mustard. I have my main man, dive guide Yan -- Alfian ex Komodo Dancer, James's guide for Bali -- joining me for the next few months and hopefully another good mate, a British fella with a whacky sense of humour as well! Peter really captured it for me with his comments about me and Olivier, he read ths situation so well! And the one about the owner in his cycling pants, I just hope he sees the funny side of that one...
nothing about potential backscatter from the shiny dome Alex?!!
Mr Cheng would have used that to its fullest..
Mike, I find that flare is the main problem.

Seems Peter was not all that pleased with a certain airline, to put it mildly
An interesting report on a fascinating region. Can't believe I'm actually going to get there this year.
