  1. Think small. D100 in D10 housing. 60mm lens, F22, 125th sec, 2 DS125s 1/2 power (I think)

  2. Is this a crop? How big is this critter?

What is the Minimum focus distance on the 60mm - what ratio macro can it yield?

  3. Looks a bit like an undersea reindeer...

Very nice shot, must have taken quite a bit of patience. Great composition! The only thing that would be nice is if it were a little easier to distinguish the top right edge of the fish from the background, but I don't know that you could actually do anything to change that.

Looks like the d10 housing is agreeing with you!!

  4. Thanks, I believe it is not cropped. These guys will let you blast away. This was the best shot. You take a shot and then wait for him to come back out of it's hole. The trick is to find them. Very well disguised. I'd say the head is a little bit bigger than a pencil eraser head.

The 60 shoots 1:1 macro. With the 1.5x crop you fill up the frame with a smaller subject. I like the lens better for digital than I did for film. And it was my number 1 lens for film (except my 17 - 35).
