Sea&Sea S to N adapter

2 posts
  1. I'm looking for a shoe string budget strobe and noticed a cheap Sea&Sea ys-60 TTL/s, but they have the 4 pin sync for their MMII cameras. Is there an adapter to convert this to a Nikonos 5 pin connection?

Sea&Sea have this strobe on close out at $125 which is a hell of a lot cheaper than the ys-110 I was looking at (I don't need the optical cord or pre-flash stuff)

Also, I have seen a Sea&Sea ys-50 with "1920 adapter". it says it will work with Nikonos connections, but can't find any info on what exactly a 1920 adapter does or what the differences are between the ys-50 and ys-60.

  2. Im not sure but I think that it is possible to change the cord to a Nikonos N cord, try saking any of the uvphoto shops that sponsors this site...

There is also a model called ys-60 TTL/N (same strobe but with the 5pin connector)it is a bit higher in price but I have found them around $200 on ebay.
