That is an amazing amphipod photo...detail and depth of field are great. Do you know what equipment and where it was taken?
M.
Very nice macro shot indeed, very sharp image with great lighting. Please, tell us more about the camera and lens, and welcome to wetpixel!

Here is some technical specs about the picture.
Camera : Canon EOS 350D, with Ikelite housing,
Lens : Canon 100mm F2.8 Macro, + 2x extender, and 25mm ring, and a homemade port extender.
Flash : 2x strobes.
Exposure : 1/125s, F18, Iso 200
The amphipod itself is about 2mm, and the picture is taken in open sea, at aprox. 4m deep.
I think this should cover it ![]()
You're kidding, right? <_<
That's pretty impressive, no way I spot something 2mm big underwater.

The image is taken on the westcoast of Norway, just outside Bergen.
I posted the equipment used in another reply in this thread.

Nope
the jellyfish it's stand on is less then 20mm in diameter.
The trick is a couple of good flashlight width crossing beams, and just keep your eyes focused at what ever is in area where the beams is crossing.
