Idaho Governor wants to Kill wolves

  1. Ok wolves maybe able to swim, but they aren't really marine animals .. I just wanted to share this. As so very often comes up in this forum is the idea of changing attitudes and how hardt hat can be.

It seems we have a complete idiot living in Idaho that has some power.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070112/ap_on_sc/wolf_hunting

Just as the Grey wolf becomes unlisted as endangered in the US the Governor of Idaho wants them culled by hunters from 550 back to 100 to make them endangered again.

This is ridiculous .. put them on the endangered species list .. they recover to 550 .. so then what to do ... i know lets kill them all and watch them recover again !!

And the reasoning ... the wolves are killing elk etc (in order to eat) which is stopping the tat rich cigar smokers that go their on a weekend hunting trips from hunting the Elk ...

what is it they say .. Survival of the fittest ....

  2. What a prat...

Someone should put a price on his fat cigar smoking arse..

Maybe (hopefully) he's trying to get some publicity for his in bred family. He should finish his sentences whooping and hollering. With high fives.

    What a dick head.

I love wolves by the way :)

Where do we send Mr Angry letters.

  3. http://gov.idaho.gov/ourgov/contact.html

there is a form to contact the governor there

he doesnt have any email addresses listed that i can find easily.

I doubt that anything can be done to stop this as it is legal hunting .. and the guy that can stop it wants to have first shot.

    What can ya do ?

  4. Worth a pointer to the Twat anyway..

    Cheers Giles.

  5. He probably won't care unless you're a voter. Somehow he has to be conviced that there are more people in Idaho that care about those wolves then hunters

  6. its amazing how people think. Same with the Goliath groupers in Florida, now that the numbers are finally getting back up there in certain areas... people want to fish them again...

Why oh why are people so selfish and short term thinking?!?!

  7. I think we need a web site like the Darwin Awards but for classics like this bloke.

    www.spackhead.com :)

With abit of luck all those cigars have given him cancer and he will die soon so someone with some common sense can take over.

    Here is his press release.

  8. This a great example of how bad apples can turn up in every fruit shop.

I mention this because in at least one recent thread, people from certain regions of the globe were singled out as "typical" when it came to their regard for wildlife.

oh.. and I agree, the space he occupies could be better filled. If they want to shoot something, give them a block of land and let them hunt each other, like GWB's off-sider did.

  9. Well, he isn't the first governor of Idaho to go this direction. The last one (Dirk Kempthorne) was recently appointed Secretary of the Interior for the U.S. The apparent logic being that he has a history of working for the mining, energy, forestry and ranching industries and would therefore have the best handle on the best way to "manage" those resources -- note the careful use of that word ("manage") in all of the language. It is akin to what the has done in the past by reaching out to the fisherman as the real experts on what is going on in the ocean.
