HELP needed - Sea&Sea TTL converter for Canon

4 posts
  1. I was today trying at home the TTL converter with my housing S&S DX-350D and I noticed that when I put the converter in the position -1 the strobes flash full power instead of firing at minimum. Actually, in that same position I tried to put the strobes in manual and it seems that the position -1 on my converter is the same as the position manual (I can control the strobes manually).

Do you guys have the same or is it my converter that is not good? all the other positions work correctly.

My housing went to fix the housing TTL circuitry and I am afraid it is a problem related to the housing circuitry although I dont think it is that.

    Any help on this? Thanks

    Cheers

    Nuno

  2. Nuno, not sure if I can help you as you have a different strobe than you. But on my setup, I don't have problems with the -1 setting. Everything works fine. Switch to manual on the TTL and set the strobes to manual all looks good.

  3. Hi Nuno,

I thought that -1 on the Sea and Sea TTL Convertor does mean manual mode....

Hi. No. There is a position before -1 (left) that is manual.

I asked S&S NL to check with Japan about this.

    Thanks guys once more!!
