  1. Did a spooky dive yesterday - pitch black on the bottom in the middle of the day. Great day for macro LOL

     

    Found this critter on a feather hydroid. post-1321-1169849666_thumb.jpg

     

    Quite small. With the eye you could only see the elongated body shape along the hydroid stems. There were many individuals of different sizes on the one hydriod "tree". post-1321-1169850105_thumb.jpg

  2. Cool! Stick isopods. Looks like family Idoteidae. There are two top notch isopod experts in Australia who could give you more info but don't be surprised if they ask for specimens! Buz Wilson at the Australian Museum and Gary Poore at Museum of Victoria.
