Has anyone used underwater stock footage houses and how have you found them?

i have one, it is not specialized in UW or animal stuff, haven't sold anything!

Yes they can be good, but I have never sold any material because of them.

Maybe because I have never sent any in, takes too much time and messing around, plus they take 50% etc.

If you can do it yourself, just make your own web site and do stuff to get it well known.

Our www.hdvunderwater.com has sold around $10,000 AUD worth of HDV material in the last year.

Podcasts are good and so is getting active on forums, along with putting up demo clips for people to see all over the place. We get emails all the time from people that have watched out stuff. It's a great way to sell yourself.

For example we had 6341 unique visitors (190,004 total hits) to the site for Jan and it went through 77 GIGS of bandwidth.
